The holiday light display on the Southington Town Green will be officially turned on for the season on Friday, December 4, 2026 at 5:30 pm. The Recreation Department would like to invite a resident child to flip the switch and light up the night!
Southington residents (which includes residents of Plantsville, Marion & Milldale) ages 3 to 10 are eligible to be entered online for a chance to be chosen as the official "switch flipper." Immediate family members of the selected child are welcome to assist on the day of the event.
One entry per child will be accepted; duplicate entries will be discarded. Entries will only be accepted via submission of the online form linked below (no phone calls, emails, or paper entries). One winner will be selected from a random drawing of all eligible entries on Tuesday, December 1, 2026 and will be notified by telephone.
